What is Ebook & Course Studio for?
Creating an ebook or a course is much more than writing: you need a structure that holds, a course plan, realistic production hours, offers at the right price, a sales page, a launch, then you follow sales and learners. Ebook & Course Studio brings it all together, product by product.
You get a score on 6 axes, an estimated production end date compared with your launch date, the key formulas (conversion, refunds, margin, sales and visitors needed for your goal, commissions due…), a comparison with your industry's benchmarks, prioritised recommendations, generators (structure, course plan, production, launch) and a client report with their branding.
With the other Yok-Kod tools
Ebook & Course Studio runs the product and its launch. To go further on one part:
- Landing Copy writes a full sales page (section 10 only keeps the essentials for the score and the report);
- Email Sequence Studio writes each launch email in full;
- Storyboard prepares the filming of your course videos;
- Newsletter Studio grows the audience that will buy your next product.

The steps, one by one
Discover the tool with the demo
🎁 Demo button (at the top): every section fills in with a fictitious writing course, with dates aligned on today. Browse the tabs, then clear the demo (Delete button) to start your product.
Lay the foundations
Section 1: title, format (ebook, video or blended course, coaching, templates, bundle), industry (it sets the benchmarks), business model, launch date and 12-month goals. Section 2: up to 3 buyer personas. Section 3: your promise, your method and the before / after transformation.
Build the content
Section 4: the modules (⚡ Suggest a structure button to start from a learning progression adapted to your format). Section 7: the course plan, one line per lesson (📋 Build the plan from the modules button). Section 5: content to produce with deadlines; section 6: assets (videos, visuals, files) and their rights.
Estimate production
Section 8: ⏱ Estimate production button, then adjust the hours and enter your available hours per week. The tool calculates the end date and tells you whether it fits before launch.
Prepare the sale and the launch
Section 9: up to 3 offers, the guarantee and the expected sales split. Section 10: the essentials of the sales page. Section 11: the launch sequence (⚡ Suggest the sequence button). Sections 12 and 16: affiliates and partnerships.
Track sales and learners
After opening: section 14 (sales, revenue, visitors, costs, over the period of your choice), section 13 (learners, share who finish, satisfaction), section 15 (support). The dashboard updates with every entry. Section 18: the client's name, logo and colour for the 📋 report.
The generators
- Structure (section 4): 5 to 10 modules following a learning progression (starting point, fundamentals, step-by-step method, practice, mistakes, action plan), with a format and length adapted to your choice in section 1. If you add to an existing list, numbering continues.
- Course plan (section 7): one lesson line for each module that does not have one yet, to complete with the objective, key points and exercise. In Pro, the AI can suggest 2 to 3 detailed lessons per module.
- Production (section 8): an hour estimate for each module without a production line, based on its format and length (for example about 0.4 h per minute of finished video, 0.8 h per written page). These are orders of magnitude to adjust.
- Launch sequence (section 11): the emails around your launch date, with or without a closing date depending on the window chosen.
The production end date
For unfinished modules, the tool adds up the estimated hours minus the hours already spent, then divides by your available hours per week. It deduces an end date and compares it with your launch date.
It also calculates the variance on finished modules (hours spent compared with hours estimated): if your first modules took 25% longer than planned, the next ones probably will too. Apply that factor to your estimates.
Offers and goal
Section 9 accepts up to 3 offers (entry, main, premium) and the sales split between them (for example 60/30/10). The tool deduces the weighted average price, then:
- the sales needed per month to reach your annual goal;
- the visitors needed at your measured conversion rate;
- the number of sales to cover your costs;
- a monthly projection per offer based on your real visitors and conversion.
Without a split, the 60/30/10 assumption is used and flagged as such. Comparable products from section 17 appear in the price positioning.
The launch sequence
Each email fits on one line: day | subject | content idea | call to action | open %. The day is written D-7, D0 (launch day), D+3…: with the launch date from section 1, the tool dates each email and adds it to the launch schedule.
Choose the sales window: always open, or a real close at D+7, D+10 or D+14. The “48 hours left” and “last day” emails are only suggested if the close is real. The open column is filled in after sending, with the measured rate.
Where to find your figures?
| Data | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Sales, revenue, refunds | The dashboard of your sales or payment platform, over the chosen period |
| Sales page visitors | Your website analytics tool (unique page views of the sales page) |
| Learners, share who finish, progress | Your course platform's reports (completion rate per learner or module) |
| Satisfaction and NPS | An end-of-module or end-of-course survey (“How likely are you to recommend… from 0 to 10?”) |
| Affiliate clicks and sales | Your affiliate programme dashboard |
| Acquisition cost | Ad spend for the period ÷ number of customers acquired through ads |
The 6-axis score
Each axis is scored out of 100 from several criteria. A criterion without data is ignored, and an axis without any data shows “n/a” (not rated): it does not count in the overall score, which is the average of the rated axes.
| Axis | What is looked at |
|---|---|
| Production | Average module progress, production finishing before or after launch, late content, blockers |
| Teaching | Lessons with objective, key points and exercise, module coverage, variety of formats and practice, assets ready with known rights, satisfaction |
| Messaging | Promise, method, before / after, buyer personas, sales page headline and benefits, real proof, FAQ, button, launch sequence |
| Revenue | Number of offers and price spread, guarantee, revenue pace against the goal, margin, refunds, average order |
| Learners | Share who finish against your industry, satisfaction, NPS, average progress, cancellations (subscriptions only) |
| Acquisition | Sales page conversion, visitors against those needed for the goal, acquisition cost against the order value, affiliates, partnerships |
The calculated formulas
- Conversion rate = sales ÷ sales page visitors × 100
- Refund rate = refunds ÷ sales × 100
- Average order = revenue ÷ sales (if you do not enter it); amount refunded = refunds × average order (if you do not enter it)
- Net revenue = revenue − costs − amount refunded; net margin = net revenue ÷ revenue × 100
- Share of the order spent to acquire a customer = acquisition cost ÷ average order × 100
- Sales needed per month = annual goal ÷ 12 ÷ weighted average price; visitors needed = sales needed ÷ conversion rate
- Affiliate commissions due = revenue of each affiliate × its commission (or the default commission)
Figures for the period (7, 30 or 90 days) are brought back to a month for comparisons with the goal. The “launch period” is not converted to a month.
The client report
The report covers the score, module-by-module progress and the estimated end date, sales and offers, learners and their feedback, acquisition (affiliates, partnerships, launch), recommendations, your conclusion and next steps, and optional appendices. It carries the client's name, logo and colour; with Pro, no mention of Yok-Kod (the discovery version adds a “Discovery version · Made with Yok-Kod” watermark). The AI (Pro) can write the introduction, conclusion and next steps.
Proof and promises
Invented testimonials, fake signup counters and guaranteed income promises are banned by unfair commercial practice rules, and they show. The tool helps you stay on the right side:
- bracketed lines in the social proof (“[Real testimonial…]”) are placeholders that do not count in the score;
- an alert appears if your promise contains a guaranteed-result or easy-money phrase;
- the launch sequence only suggests a close if it is real;
- templates and the demo only use fictitious names marked “(example)” and no testimonials.
To collect real proof: give a few beta testers access in exchange for written feedback, and ask permission to publish it.
AI (optional, Pro)
With your own key (Agnes, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Groq, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter…), the ✨ AI tab offers: product audit, production plan until launch, 3 lessons ready to write, launch plan, pricing strategy, sales page audit, 10 recommendations and report review. The “✨ Suggest lessons with AI” button fills in the course plan, and “✍️ Write… with AI” prepares the report texts.
Exports
The report, course plan, sales page and ZIP can be exported in the discovery version too, with a “Discovery version · Made with Yok-Kod · yok-kod.com” line at the end of the document (and at the bottom of each printed page); Pro removes it. Data exports (ICS and CSV schedule, Notion, Airtable, CSV, JSON) are for Pro members, and the discovery ZIP does not contain them.
| Export | What for |
|---|---|
| Report PDF, HTML, Markdown | Send it to the client |
| Course plan (Markdown) | Modules and lessons with objective, key points and exercise, ready to write in your writing tool or course platform |
| Sales page (Markdown) | A structured draft: headline, benefits, programme, offers, guarantee, proof, FAQ |
| ICS and CSV schedule | Launch, dated emails, production deadlines, partnerships and estimated end of production in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or a spreadsheet |

Where is my data?
Your products are saved in your browser (local storage), on the computer you use. Nothing is kept on our servers: calculations are done on the fly and then forgotten. Remember to export each product regularly as JSON (Pro) to back it up or find it on another computer. The 🕐 History button keeps the latest versions.

Common problems
- A score axis shows “n/a”.
- It is not rated yet for lack of data. For example, the Learners axis needs at least the share who finish, satisfaction or NPS (section 13); the Acquisition axis needs visitors (section 14), an affiliate or a partnership.
- The estimated end date does not appear.
- You need estimated hours in section 8 and your available hours per week. The comparison with launch also needs the date in section 1.
- The emails are not dated.
- Enter the launch date (section 1) and write the day as D-7, D0 or D+3.
- A module has no line in the course plan.
- Lessons are linked to a module by their number: lesson 3.2 belongs to module 3.
- The conversion rate does not show.
- It needs both sales and sales page visitors (section 14): it is calculated, not entered.
- The AI says “invalid key”.
- Check that the chosen provider matches your key, then test it again. Free keys are limited to a few requests per minute.
- I cannot find my product any more.
- Check that you are using the same computer, the same browser and the same account.
