Launch Studio

Everything you need to prepare the launch of your product, service or course: a dated plan from D-56 to D+90, workable for your team and budget, tracked right through to the review.

What is Launch Studio for?

A successful launch is mostly decided before launch day (positioning, page, tracking, messages, support) and after it (replies, fixes, follow-ups, review). Launch Studio builds that plan with you, week by week from D-56 to D+90, from your launch date, product type and channels.

Each task has a due date, an owner, an effort in hours and, where needed, dependencies. The tool checks the schedule holds with your team's real time and your budget, tracks your metrics (target, actual, gap) and your risk register, then exports the plan for your team and your calendar.

With the other Yok-Kod tools

In a task's sheet, a link points you to the tool that can help with that specific task.

Who is it for?

💻

Software makers

Beta, V1 or major update, with onboarding and billing tested.

📱

Apps

Store listing, review and crash reporting planned ahead.

🎓

Trainers

Enrolment opening prepared week by week.

🛒

E-commerce

Stock, delivery and a test order before announcing.

🤝

Freelancers

A new offer launched without giving up every evening.

📦

Physical products

Manufacturing, compliance and logistics in the same schedule.

The steps, one by one

1

Start from the demo or a template

🎁 Demo loads a software launch plan mid-preparation, with tasks done, in progress and overdue. Pro members get 8 templates (📋 Templates: software, app, service, online shop, course, platform, physical product, major update). Products and people are fictional and marked “(example)”, and the numeric targets belong to the fictional project: replace them with your own. You can always go back with ↶.

2

Describe your product

Name, type (7 options), maturity (beta, V1, major update), a 40 to 240-character pitch, audience, offer and price, alternatives. Type and maturity add their own tasks: store listing for an app, migration and release notes for an update, tester recruitment for a beta…

3

Set the date, budget and team

Choose launch day and the total budget. Add each person with their role, area (lead, product, marketing, design, sales, support) and the hours they can really give the launch each week. Even on your own, add yourself: this is what lets the tool check the schedule holds.

4

Choose your channels, then generate the plan

Tick your channels and enter the budget for paid ones. Click ⚡ Generate the plan: tasks from D-56 to D+90, metrics and risks are created, and tasks are shared out between members by area and workload.

5

Adjust, track, export

Edit tasks, follow the score's recommendations, tick off what is done as the weeks go by, enter the actual values of your metrics. Export the plan for your team (watermarked in the discovery version) and your calendar (Pro).

The 5 phases

PhasePeriodThe essentials
PreparationD-56 → D-29Goals, customer interviews, positioning, offer, budget, launch page, tracking, legal pages
Pre-launchD-28 → D-1Announcement calendar, content, support, full journey test, messages, network, go / no-go
LaunchD0 → D+7Go live, announcement on your channels, monitoring, replies, thank-yous, debrief
AccelerationD+8 → D+30Fixes, customer feedback, first review, follow-ups, first testimonials (real and approved)
ConsolidationD+31 → D+90Retrospective, word of mouth, monthly review, roadmap, D+90 review
💡 Due dates are stored as days before or after launch day. If you change the date, the whole plan follows, with nothing to re-enter. Dates are computed in your time zone, and generated due dates fall on working days.

Channels and budget

12 channels: email, social media, video, press, Product Hunt, partners, paid ads, communities, trade shows and events, webinar, content and SEO, creators. Each adds its tasks before and after launch day, its risks and a metric. Unticking a channel removes its tasks not yet started; those already started or annotated are kept. 🔄 Update the plan adds what is missing without touching what you changed, and does not bring back tasks you deleted.

Paid ads need a budget; trade shows and creators are often paid. The tool flags a paid channel without a budget and amounts beyond your total budget.

Tasks, owners, dependencies

  • Checklist: tasks by phase, with date, countdown (D-12), owner, channel, effort and status. The box ticks the task off; “+7 d” reschedules an overdue task.
  • Task sheet: title, status (to do, in progress, done, blocked), due date with shortcuts (−7 d, +7 d, launch day…), owner, effort in hours, duration in days, channel, notes, and a “How to” box for standard tasks.
  • Dependencies: “must wait for…”. A task waiting for an unfinished task is marked ⏳; a due date set before its dependency's is flagged ⚠. Loops are impossible.
  • ⚖️ Share out unassigned tasks assigns them by each person's area, starting with whoever has the least work.
  • Filters by person, channel and status (overdue, next 7 days, waiting…), search with /, new task with N.

Calendar, timeline, workload

  • Calendar: one month at a time, each day's deadlines, launch day highlighted. Click a day to see its list or add a task to it.
  • Timeline: each task as a bar, from its start to its due date, grouped by phase, with “today” and “launch day” lines.
  • Workload: hours planned per person per week, compared with their available hours (green, orange, red). Each task's effort is spread over its duration.

A realistic schedule

The tool compares the plan with your real resources:

  • Date too close: if launch day is less than 8 weeks away and pre-launch tasks are already past due, it says so. Move the date, or click ⇲ Tighten the schedule: unfinished tasks are spread between tomorrow and the day before launch, in the same order.
  • Work left: hours to do before launch day, compared with the team's time until then. Beyond that, it suggests a workable date you can apply in one click (Workload view).
  • Overloaded weeks and too many deadlines in the same week for one person.
  • Budget: paid channel without a budget, amounts beyond the total.

Metrics

Each phase has its metrics: sign-ups before launch, launch-week visitors and sign-ups, revenue, support response time, satisfaction, plus those for your product type and channels. For each: unit, direction (higher or lower is better), target, actual value and gap (in value and percentage).

💡 Set your targets from your own figures: list size, current traffic, past sales. The tool offers no “market averages”: they say nothing about your audience.

Risk register

A probability × impact matrix (1 to 5) and a card per risk: mitigation, owner, status (open, monitoring, cleared). Standard risks (product not ready, message not understood, support overwhelmed, broken tracking…) and those for your product type and channels come with starting estimates: adjust them. A high risk (≥ 12) needs a concrete mitigation and an owner.

The 5-axis score

AxisWhat is checked
PreparationName, pitch, audience, overdue tasks, essential steps, owners, example content left
Realistic scheduleTeam and hours, work left before launch day, date too close, overloaded weeks, deadlines per person, dependency order, weekend launch
Channel coverageNumber of channels, a channel you own, tasks before and after launch day for each channel, paid channel budgets
MeasurementMetrics tracked, numeric targets, metrics after launch day, actual values entered, large gaps, tracking set up
Risk managementNumber of risks, mitigation and owner for high risks, main risk for the product type, channel risks

The discovery version shows the score and 3 recommendations; Pro shows them all, with detailed advice for every check.

Exports and calendar

The PDF, HTML page and Markdown are open to everyone; in the discovery version they carry a “Discovery version · Made with Yok-Kod” watermark (at the end of the document and at the bottom of each printed page). Pro removes it. The calendar, CSV files and JSON are for Pro.

  • 🖨️ Printable PDF and 🌐 HTML: the full plan (points to watch, tasks by phase, metrics, risks, workload per person) to share with the team.
  • 📅 Calendar (.ics) (Pro): each task on its date, plus launch day, to import into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Choose “Tasks for” a person to give them only theirs.
  • 📝 Markdown (checklist for Notion, GitHub…), 📊 CSV of tasks, metrics and risks (Excel, Google Sheets, project management tools; Pro).
  • ⬇ JSON (Pro) backs up the plan; ⬆ Import restores it as a new plan. A file from the old “Product Launch Playbook” is converted automatically.
💡 Before exporting, the tool warns you if content marked “(example)” is still there.

AI (optional, Pro)

With your own key (Agnes, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Groq, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or a compatible service), the assistant suggests tasks tailored to your product that the standard plan does not cover, writes one announcement message per channel (to copy or store in the notes of the “Write the messages” task) and spots overlooked risks. You choose what to add. It is instructed never to invent figures, results, testimonials or fake urgency; details to fill in are in [brackets]. Your key stays in your browser.

Where is my data?

Your plans are saved in your browser, automatically (Ctrl+S to force it). The server receives the plan only to compute the analysis, workload and exports, without keeping it. The discovery version keeps 1 plan; Pro keeps 30, with JSON backup and import. Undo and redo: Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y.

Common problems

I changed channels and some tasks disappeared.
Unticking a channel removes its tasks not yet started and without notes. Tick the channel again or use ↶ to get them back.
A deleted task does not come back with “Update”.
That is on purpose: the tool remembers what you deleted. Use ↶ straight away, or recreate it with “+ Task”.
A person's workload is red.
Move deadlines, lengthen some tasks (the effort is spread over more days), change the owner or add available hours.
Calendar dates are one day off.
Events are all-day, with no time: they show on the right day in any time zone. Check you imported the latest exported file.
“Browser storage is full”.
Delete an old plan after backing it up as JSON (Pro).
