What is Ad Spot Studio for?
A 15-second spot is prepared like a film: a hook that stops the scroll, a benefit shown on screen, a signature that sticks, and a voice-over that fits the time. Without preparation, you find out in the edit that the script is too long, that the product changes colour from one shot to the next or that a mandatory notice is missing.
Ad Spot Studio helps you write the spot scene by scene, to the half-second: picture, camera move, voice-over, on-screen text and sound. From it, it builds a storyboard, an animatic to judge the pacing, production prompts ready for an image or video generator, and it checks the spot on 5 axes. With your AI key (Pro), it can also write the spot and generate each scene's pictures and videos.
With the other Yok-Kod tools
- Landing Page Copy Studio writes the page the spot's call to action leads to;
- Email Sequence Studio prepares the emails sent to people who responded to the campaign;
- Quiz Generator Studio: a short spot inviting people to take a quiz is a good way to collect contacts;
- Compliance Studio checks your privacy policy and legal notices before launch.
Who is it for?
Small brands
Launch a product on social media without an agency.
Local businesses
A menu, an offer, an opening, in 6 to 15 seconds.
Apps and services
Show the product on screen and drive sign-ups.
Craftspeople
A brand film about gestures and materials.
Video makers and freelancers
Get a storyboard approved before the shoot.
Marketing teams
Turn one spot into several lengths and formats.
The steps, one by one
Start from the demo or a template
🎁 Demo button: a 15-second vertical serum launch loads. Pro members get 8 sector templates (📋 Templates: cosmetics, restaurant, app, craftsperson, gym, fashion, real estate, event). Brands in them are fictitious and marked “(example)”. You can always go back with ↶.
Fill in the brief
Brand, product, what it does, for whom, the main benefit to show, the tone, what to avoid. Pick the objective, the sector (it triggers the mandatory-notice reminders) and the spot language.
Choose the channel, length and aspect ratio
Then click 🧱 Structure for this length: the tool lays out the scenes with their role and duration.
Describe the product and the art direction
Fill in the product lock, add a product photo (packshot), then pick the visual style (12 styles), the cast, the editing rhythm, the voice-over tone and the music.
Write the scenes, sign off, check
Picture, camera, voice-over, on-screen text, sound. Finish with the tagline, the call to action and the notices. Follow the score's recommendations, watch the animatic, then export.
Format and length
Available lengths: 6, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 and 60 seconds. Aspect ratios: 9:16 (vertical), 16:9 (horizontal), 1:1 (square) and 4:5. Each channel has a recommended ratio: vertical for social media and in-store screens, horizontal for online video, TV and cinema, square for video banners.
| Length | Suggested structure |
|---|---|
| 6 s | Hook · Benefit · Signature (2 s each) |
| 15 s | Hook 2.5 s · Demonstration 5 s · Benefit 4 s · Signature 3.5 s |
| 30 s | Hook · Problem · Demonstration · Proof · Benefit · Signature |
| 60 s | 8 scenes, with two demonstrations and two benefits |
The word budget: a steady voice-over speaks about 2.8 words per second in English (2.6 in French). The tool keeps a short breath in each scene: a 3-second scene takes 7 words, a 5-second scene 13 words. The counter turns red when you go over. If the scenes do not add up to the spot length, ⚖️ Fit the durations spreads the difference in half-seconds.
The product lock (visual consistency)
The most common flaw in generated pictures: the bottle changes shape, the label makes up letters, the colour drifts from shot to shot. The product lock describes the item once and for all (name, shape, colours, logo and lettering, material, details to keep) and adds it to every picture and video prompt, with an instruction not to distort anything. The more precise, the more consistent the product.
The scenes
Each scene has a role (🎣 hook, 😕 problem, 🔎 demonstration, ✨ benefit, ✅ proof, 🏁 signature), a duration, a picture description (framing, action, light), a camera move (static shot, slow push-in, tracking, orbit, macro…), the voice-over, the on-screen text and the sound. Up to 16 scenes; keep each between 1.5 and 10 seconds. Show the product early and keep on-screen text short (40 characters at most): on social media, many people watch without sound.
The storyboard and the animatic
The 🎞️ Storyboard tab shows the spot frame by frame, with timings, voice-over and texts. The ▶ Animatic tab plays the scenes at the right pace, with the generated pictures, the packshot or the description, and can read the voice-over with your browser's voice. That synthetic voice varies from one device to another: it is there to check that the script fits the time, not to replace a real voice-over.
Choosing the voice: below the animatic buttons, pick the voice, speed and pitch, then click 🔊 Listen. These are your device and browser voices: Edge and Chrome offer the most (“Natural” or “Google” voices sound the most natural). Your settings are remembered. The voice is there to judge the pacing; for the final ad, record a real voice from the exported script.
The 5-axis score
| Axis | What is checked |
|---|---|
| Hook | First scene set as a hook, short enough (3 s on social media, 5 s elsewhere), product or brand visible early, on-screen text from the start on social media |
| Message | Precise brief, call to action, 3-to-8-word tagline, voice-over within the word budget, no empty buzzwords |
| Production | Scenes add up to the length, pictures well described, product lock filled in, ends on the signature, realistic shot lengths, varied camera |
| Channel | Ratio suited to the channel, suitable length, understandable without sound, readable on-screen text |
| Compliance | Sector's mandatory notice, allowed channel, verifiable claims, AI label, “(example)” content replaced, minors on screen |
The verdict ranges from “Draft” to “Ready to produce”. The discovery version shows the top 3 recommendations; Pro shows them all, with advice.
Legal notices and compliance
- Depending on the sector, the tool recalls the French rules: health message for sweet or salty foods, the Évin law for alcohol (no TV or cinema, “alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health” notice), credit notices, fuel consumption and CO₂ for cars, a warning for gambling, care for health, cosmetics and children.
- It flags claims that are hard to prove (“number one”, “100%”, “guaranteed”, “clinically”, “up to…”): keep the evidence or reword.
- Tick “Images generated with AI” if you use realistic AI pictures or videos: several platforms and the EU AI Act (Article 50) require it to be disclosed.
- Use royalty-free music or music you have a broadcast licence for.
The prompts
The 🧠 Prompts tab gives, for each scene, a picture prompt, a video prompt (duration, camera, pacing, frame count) and a list of things to avoid. They are in English, the language generators understand best, and include the style, the cast and the product lock. Copy them into the image or video tool of your choice. The discovery version shows the first scene's prompts; Pro unlocks them all.
Your own photos
You don't have to use AI. In the 📷 My photos section (left column) or at the top of the 🎬 Pictures & videos tab, click the “Click or drop your photos” area or drag your files onto it: several photos are placed at once, in order, on scenes that have none. For a specific scene, click its thumbnail, drop the photo straight onto it or use 📷 Add my photo in the scene. That way you put your own photo on each scene: your product, your shop, your team, your dish… It shows in the storyboard, the animatic and the ZIP. With an Agnes key, it is also the first frame of the scene's video: the best way to get your real product on screen. The packshot from the product lock illustrates the signature scene. Photos are resized and kept in your browser; if storage is full, delete an old project. This feature is included in the discovery version.
AI pictures and videos (Pro)
With your own key (Agnes, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Groq, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or a compatible service), the assistant can write the complete spot, suggest 3 hooks to test, fit the voice-over to the word budget, suggest 6 taglines and adapt the spot to another length. It is instructed never to make up figures, testimonials or real brand names.
- Pictures: with your provider's key, if it offers image generation (for example Agnes or OpenAI), one picture per scene or all at once.
- Videos: only with an Agnes key (agnes-video-v2.0 model). Each video starts from the scene picture, otherwise the packshot. Allow a minute or more per scene; the service requires about a minute between two starts, so the tool spaces out the requests.
- Generations are billed by your provider, on your account. Your key stays in your browser.
Exports
- 📦 Full ZIP: storyboard, script, subtitles, shot list,
prompts.md, instructions and the generated pictures and videos; - 🖨️ Storyboard PDF: the printable version, to save as PDF from your browser;
- 💬 Subtitles .srt: the timed voice-over, for your editing software or social platforms;
- 📝 Script with timecodes, and 📊 Shot list CSV for the shoot or the edit.
Where is my data?
Your spots are saved in your browser, automatically. The server receives the spot while it builds the storyboard, the analysis and the files, without keeping it. You can back them up and re-import them as JSON; the discovery version keeps 1 project, Pro keeps 30. Links to generated media may expire at the provider: download the ZIP once the spot is approved.
Discovery or Pro?
The discovery version gives you the whole tool and all its exports; exported documents (HTML, PDF, Markdown, pictures) carry a small “Made with Yok-Kod” line, data files (CSV, JSON, ICS) never do. Pro removes that line and adds AI (writing, pictures and videos), the 8 sector templates, 30 projects and every recommendation.

Pro for Ad Spot Studio costs €19 as a one-off payment. It is also included in the Creative + Dev Pack (€99) and in Full Access (€179).
Common problems
- The word counter is red.
- The voice-over is longer than the scene. Shorten it, lengthen the scene, or use “Fit the voice-over” (Pro).
- The production score is low although everything is filled in.
- The scenes probably do not add up to the spot length. Click “⚖️ Fit the durations”.
- The video will not start.
- Videos need an Agnes key and a starting picture: generate the scene picture first or add the packshot. If the service limits requests, wait a minute.
- The product changes from shot to shot.
- Complete the product lock (shape, colours, logo, material) and give the packshot as a reference image.
- The animatic is silent.
- Tick “Read the voice-over” and check that your browser has a voice in the spot's language.
