What is Lead Magnet Studio for?
A lead magnet is a free resource (a checklist, a short guide, a fill-in template…) that you offer in exchange for an email address. Done well, it genuinely helps your future client, shows how you work and opens the conversation about your paid offer.
Lead Magnet Studio helps you produce the four pieces you need: the document itself, in your colours and ready to print to PDF; the standalone sign-up page, with a GDPR-compliant form; the confirmation page; and 3 to 5 delivery and follow-up emails. It continuously checks that your promise is precise and kept, that the content is quick to read and that email collection is honest.
With the other Yok-Kod tools
- Email Sequence Studio writes a longer sequence after the 3 to 5 delivery emails (nurturing, launch);
- Funnel Studio builds the complete sales funnel: capture, sales page, order and thank-you;
- Ebook & Course Studio is for a paid ebook or course, longer than a lead magnet;
- Quiz Generator Studio creates an interactive quiz, another way to attract subscribers;
- Compliance Studio helps you write your privacy policy, essential as soon as you collect emails.
Who is it for?
Freelancers and consultants
Show your expertise with a useful checklist or cheat sheet.
Coaches and trainers
Let people discover your method with a workbook or an email mini-course.
Online shops
A short how-to guide linked to your products, without sales pressure.
Software makers
A starter kit that already solves part of the problem before the trial.
Creatives
A brief template or a swipe file to adapt.
Local agencies
A self-assessment scorecard showing clients what they are missing.
The steps, one by one
Start from the demo or a template
🎁 Demo button: the complete checklist of a (fictional) web studio loads, with its page and its 4 emails. Pro members get 8 industry templates (📋 Templates: coach, accountant, trainer, online shop, graphic designer, software, copywriter, local agency), each in a different format. Names and addresses are marked “(example)” or “.example”. You can always go back with ↶.
Set out the concept
Title, promise, audience, their problem, the concrete result, their problem awareness level, your angle, and above all the link with your paid offer: what the lead magnet solves alone, and what your offer adds.
Choose a format and write the content
Each format loads its own section structure. Write them one by one; the word count and reading time are shown for every section and for the whole document.
Prepare the sign-up page and the emails
Headline, benefits, your emailing tool's form address, consent, privacy policy; then the email drafts, written from your concept, to complete.
Follow the recommendations and export
The 5-axis score tells you what to fix first. Choose your style and colour, then export: PDF, HTML, sign-up page, emails as text, Markdown, or everything as a ZIP (with a watermark in the discovery version), and with Pro the emails as CSV.
The 11 formats
| Format | Suggested structure | Length guideline |
|---|---|---|
| ✅ Checklist | Before you start, essentials, going further, final check (checkboxes) | 200 to 1,500 words, at least 8 points |
| 📘 How-to guide | Why it matters, 3 steps, mistakes to avoid, action plan | 300 to 5,000 words |
| 📋 Fill-in template | What it is for, how to fill it in, the template with its [fields], a completed example | 150 to 1,800 words |
| ⚡ Cheat sheet | The essentials in one minute, key points, pitfalls, when to ask for help | 120 to 800 words |
| 📧 Email mini-course | 5 lessons, one a day; the emails are generated from the lessons | 350 to 4,000 words |
| 🧰 Starter kit | Kit contents, tools, ready-to-use templates, where to start | 200 to 2,500 words |
| ✏️ Workbook | How to use it, 3 exercises (questions with answer lines), summary | 200 to 2,500 words |
| 🗂️ Swipe file | How to adapt them, 3 series of texts to copy | 120 to 3,000 words |
| 🎙️ Scripts | Preparation, opening, questions, objections, closing | 200 to 2,500 words |
| 📅 Planner or challenge | How it works, day-by-day weeks (checkboxes), review | 120 to 1,800 words |
| 📊 Self-assessment scorecard | How to fill it in, criteria scored No / Partly / Yes, reading your result | 150 to 1,200 words |
The concept
- Title and promise: say what readers get. A number in the title must count the content (“15 checks”), never promise a result (“double your turnover”).
- Audience (consumers or professionals), problem and concrete result: the result is shown at the start of the document (“By the end, you will have…”).
- Awareness level: an audience that does not yet see its problem needs an assessment or a guide; an audience comparing solutions prefers a concrete tool (checklist, template); an audience ready to buy does not need a lead magnet.
- Link with your paid offer: name, link and the “bridge” between them. They appear at the end of the document, on the confirmation page and in the email presenting your offer.
The content
Each section has a title, content, a layout and an optional highlighted tip. The layouts:
| Layout | How to write | Result in the document |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Paragraphs separated by a blank line, “-” for a list, “##” for a subheading | Paragraphs and lists; “Title — detail” puts the title in bold |
| Checkboxes | One action per line | Boxes that can be ticked on screen, printable |
| Template to complete | [fields] and ___ for a free line | Coloured fields and lines to fill in |
| Texts to copy | One text per paragraph | Numbered boxes |
| Questions to work on | One question per line, ending with “?” | Question followed by answer lines |
| No / Partly / Yes scorecard | One criterion per line | Table scored out of 2 points, subtotal and total |
| Planner | “Day 1 — action” | One box per day |
Under each section: its word count, reading time and concrete items. Passages in [brackets] still to complete are highlighted in yellow in the preview (except in templates and texts to copy, where they are meant for the reader).
The sign-up page
A standalone HTML page: headline, subheadline, 3 to 5 benefits, the content preview (the document's contents), a short presentation of you, a cover drawn in your colours and the form. The page has no server of its own: it sends the sign-up straight to your emailing tool.
- In your emailing tool, create an embeddable form and copy its submit address (the “action” attribute) and the names of its email and first-name fields (for example
EMAIL,FNAME). Any hidden fields (list, language) go in “Advanced settings”. - Without a submit address, the page shows “form not connected yet” instead of sending, and the score flags it.
- In the preview, nothing is sent: enter an address and submit to see the confirmation page.
Consent and GDPR
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Optional checkbox (recommended) | The resource for everyone; your tips and offers only for those who tick a box that is never pre-ticked. |
| Resource + short announced series | Signing up covers the resource and the follow-up emails, described word for word next to the button (the text is generated from your emails). For consumers, a separate box remains safer as soon as an email presents your offer. |
| Resource only | You only send the resource. The tool flags any follow-up emails planned anyway. |
The page always explains what people receive, one-click unsubscribing, double opt-in if you turn it on, who is responsible for the data, and links to your privacy policy (required). Turn on double opt-in in your tool: people confirm their address with one click. These reminders do not replace legal advice.
The delivery and follow-up emails
“Draft from the concept” prepares 4 emails from your title, content and offer: delivery (right away, with the PDF link), a tip to take action (day 1, taken from your first point), a use case (day 3, to tell with a real example) and a presentation of your offer (day 5). For a mini-course, each lesson becomes an email. You can have 3 to 5, and change their role, delay, subject (60 characters maximum recommended), preview text, message and button.
No false promises
- Promise kept: if your title announces “15 checks” or “5 days”, the tool counts what the document really contains and warns you if anything is missing. Same for an announced reading time.
- Subscriber count: a sentence like “Join 10,000 readers” is flagged until you have entered and confirmed your real number of subscribers. The tool deliberately has no testimonial block: only add testimonials if they are real and authorised.
- Urgency: “last chance”, “limited places”… are flagged. Only write them if they are true.
- Earnings and health: a promise of earnings, a numeric result or anything touching on health requires a disclaimer.
- Examples: anything still containing “(example)”, “.example” or “@example” is flagged before publishing.
The 5-axis score
| Axis | What is checked |
|---|---|
| Precise promise | Title, concrete promise, audience, problem, result, format suited to awareness level, angle, link with your offer |
| Usefulness | Number of sections, sections written and developed enough, concrete items, introduction, tips, conclusion, passages to complete, call to action |
| Quick to read | Length suited to the format, short sections and paragraphs, easy to skim, clear titles, table of contents |
| Sign-up page | Headline, benefits, connected form, content preview, 3 to 5 emails, immediate delivery, download link, subjects, completed drafts, contact |
| Compliance and honesty | Privacy, consent, no pre-ticked box, double opt-in, real subscriber count, promise kept, disclaimers, urgency, identified data controller, example content |
The discovery version shows the score and 3 recommendations; Pro shows all of them, with detailed advice for every check.
Exports and PDF
Documents can be exported in the discovery version too, with a “Discovery version · Made with Yok-Kod · yok-kod.com” line at the end of the document (and at the bottom of each printed page); Pro removes it. The emails as CSV and JSON are for Pro members.
- 🖨️ Document as PDF: the print window opens; choose “Save as PDF”. Separate cover, colours included, links printed in full for paper.
- Document HTML, sign-up page and confirmation: standalone files, logo embedded, no external fonts.
- Markdown of the document, emails as text and CSV (Pro; one row per email: delay, subject, preview, message, button), and “Copy the emails”.
- 📦 Download everything: a ZIP with all of the above and step-by-step publishing instructions; with Pro, it also contains the emails as CSV and the project as JSON.
Putting it online, step by step
- Print the document to PDF and put it online (your website, a shared storage space). Paste its address in “Document download link”: it is inserted into the delivery email.
- In your emailing tool: create a list, turn on double opt-in, create the form and copy its submit address into the tool.
- Set the post-sign-up redirect page to the online address of
confirmation.html. - Create the automation with the emails and their delays; check the unsubscribe link in each one.
- Publish
index.htmlandconfirmation.htmlin the same folder of your site, then sign up yourself to test the whole journey.
AI (optional, Pro)
With your own key (Agnes, OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Groq, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or a compatible service), describe your business in the brief: the assistant suggests 5 lead magnet ideas suited to your audience and offer, 6 titles, the content outline for the format, and writes one section at a time (the section's ✨ button). It is instructed never to make up figures, results, testimonials or names: what only you know is left in [brackets]. Your key stays in your browser.

Where is my data?
Your projects are saved in your browser, automatically, logo included. The server receives the project just long enough to calculate the analysis and generate the previews and files, without keeping it. Sign-ups collected by your live page go straight to your emailing tool: they never go through Yok-Kod. The discovery version keeps 1 project; Pro keeps 30 and can back them up and import them as JSON.
Common problems
- My page's form does not record anyone.
- Check the submit address (it must start with https) and the exact field names in your emailing tool. Some tools need hidden fields (list, language): add them in “Advanced settings”. In the tool's preview, sending is deliberately disabled: test on the live page.
- The PDF has no colours.
- In the print window, turn on “Background graphics” (or “Print backgrounds”) and choose “Save as PDF”.
- My score flags “Promise kept”.
- Your title, promise or page announce more items than the document contains. Complete the content or correct the number.
- My subscriber count is not shown.
- Tick the box confirming it is real and up to date. Without it, it is never shown.
- “Browser storage is full”.
- Remove the logo or delete an old project, after backing it up as JSON (Pro).
