What is Pitch Deck Builder for?
A pitch deck is a short presentation (8 to 12 slides) that explains a project clearly and convincingly: the problem, the solution, the market, the business model, the team and what you are asking for.
Pitch Deck Builder builds it for you. You describe your project, choose a proven structure (the ones used by major investment funds) and a visual style. The Yok-Kod engine assembles the slides, writes the titles, splits your text into bullet points and even prepares speaker notes. All you have to do is adjust, present or export.
Who is it for?
Startups & project founders
To raise funds or convince an incubator, a business angel or a bank.
Freelancers & consultants
To sell an engagement: your approach, your method, your results and your offer.
Agencies
To present your agency to a prospect: services, case studies, process, pricing.
Employees & managers
To champion a project internally and get a decision from management.
Students & competitions
For a school project, a hackathon or a startup competition.
Non-profits
To present a project to partners, sponsors or public funders.
Before you start
Prepare a few sentences on these points (they don't have to be perfect, the engine takes care of the layout):
- The name of your project and a short tagline
- The problem you solve (with a figure if possible)
- Your solution, in 2 or 3 sentences
- The market, your business model, your traction (customers, figures)
- Your team, your ask (amount, partnership…) and your vision
The steps, one by one
Open the tool
Click "Open the tool": you can try it right away, no account or credit card. To keep your work in your account and upgrade to Pro, then create your free account (email and password).
Fill in your pitch content
Two ways to do it (tabs at the top of the "Pitch content" section):
- 🎯 Guided form: one field per topic (problem, solution, market…). The most precise.
- ⚡ Quick description: paste 3 to 5 sentences describing your project, then click "Analyse". The engine automatically sorts each sentence into the right field. Then check the form.
To explore the tool, click "✨ Fill in an example": a complete fictional project (UrbanFarm) is loaded.
Add team members with "+ Add a member" (name + role). Your form is saved automatically: you can close the page and come back later.
Choose the type of deck
Click the structure that matches your situation. Each one has its own slide order and number of slides. Not sure? Check the "Which structure to choose" table below.
Choose a visual style
8 styles: Apple (premium black), Stripe (purple gradient), Sequoia (classic cream paper), Bold (striking red), Minimal (clean white), Dark (tech look), Corporate (institutional blue), Neon (futuristic). You can change the style at any time, even after building: the deck updates instantly.
Add your logo and set the options (optional)
🏢 Branding: add your logo (transparent PNG recommended, 2 MB max). It appears in the top right of every slide.
⚙️ Options: speaker notes, auto-save, decorative patterns. Everything is on by default.
Build the deck
Click the big "🚀 Build the deck" button. In a few seconds, all your slides appear.
Review and adjust each slide
- Click a thumbnail (at the top) to display the slide.
- In "✏️ Edit slide", change the title, subtitle, bullet points and speaker notes. The preview updates live.
- Reorder slides by dragging the thumbnails.
- Delete an unnecessary slide with "✕ Delete".
Present
Click "▶ Present": the deck goes full screen. Move forward with the arrow keys or the space bar, show or hide your notes with the N key, exit with Esc.
Export
At the bottom of the page, choose your format: PDF, PowerPoint, PNG images, interactive HTML page or full ZIP (with a “Discovery version” watermark in the free version), or JSON (Pro). See the format details.
Which structure to choose?
| Structure | Slides | Ideal for |
|---|---|---|
| Startup — Sequoia | 10 | A first funding round. The reference format every investor knows. |
| Startup — Y Combinator | 12 | A project that already has results (traction) and a specific ask. Includes financials and vision. |
| Startup — Guy Kawasaki | 10 | An innovative product that needs to be understood fast. Focuses on the product's "magic" and the go-to-market strategy. |
| Freelance / Consultant | 8 | Selling an engagement to a client: their problem, your approach, your method, your results, your offer. |
| Agency | 12 | Presenting your agency to a prospect: services, case studies, team, process, pricing, timeline. |
| Internal project | 10 | Convincing your management: context, benefits, risks, resources needed, decision requested. |
Exports
PDF, PowerPoint, PNG, HTML and ZIP are open to everyone. In the discovery version they carry a “Discovery version · Made with Yok-Kod” watermark: a band under each slide (PDF, PNG, PowerPoint), a label at the top of the HTML page and a last line in the speaker notes. Pro removes it. The JSON backup is for Pro (it is not in the discovery version's ZIP).
| Format | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Email it to an investor or a client. The most universal format. | |
| 📊 PowerPoint | Rework it in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides (speaker notes included). |
| 🖼️ PNG | Post slides on LinkedIn, in an article or a newsletter (one image per slide). |
| 🌐 HTML | A presentation that opens in any browser, no software needed. Handy in meetings. |
| 📦 ZIP | Everything at once: PDF, images, HTML, speaker notes and backup. |
| 💾 JSON (Pro) | A backup copy of your deck to keep somewhere safe. |
AI (optional, Pro)
The Yok-Kod engine works without AI. AI is a booster, used only when you click a button:
- 🤖 Improve this slide: makes the text clearer and punchier without changing its meaning, and writes the speaker notes.
- ✍️ Rephrase this slide: suggests a different angle.
- ✨ Rephrase the whole deck: improves every slide at once ("⏹ Stop" button available).
- 🎨 Generate illustrations: creates an image for the cover and one for the last slide.
- 🤖 Analyse with AI: understands a free-form description better than the standard analysis.
Turning on AI:
- In the AI panel, choose your provider: Agnes, OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Mistral, Groq, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or any other OpenAI-compatible service. Create an API key on that provider's website (several offer free access, such as Agnes, Groq or Gemini). You can also choose the model; otherwise a fast, inexpensive model is used.
- In the tool, click "🤖 Turn on AI" (at the top), then "Configure".
- Paste your key, click "🧪 Test" then "💾 Save".
Where are my decks saved?
To protect your privacy, your decks are saved in your browser, not on our servers. Find them with the "📁 My decks" button at the top of the tool (auto-save, or the "💾 Save" button).

Tips for a convincing pitch
- One idea per slide. 3 to 5 bullet points maximum, short sentences.
- Concrete figures rather than adjectives: "500 users in 6 months" beats "strong growth".
- Start with the problem: your audience must feel it before discovering your solution.
- Be specific about your ask: how much, to do what, and over what time frame.
- Rehearse out loud with presentation mode and your notes: aim for 1 minute per slide.
- Tailor the deck to each audience: reorder or remove slides depending on who you're talking to.
Common issues
- Why is the "Build the deck" button greyed out?
- The name (2 characters min.), the problem and the solution (20 characters min. each) must be filled in. The button tells you what's missing.
- What does "Discovery version limit reached" mean?
- You've built 3 decks today. Come back tomorrow, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited use. You can still edit your existing decks.
- Why can't I find my deck any more?
- Make sure you're using the same computer, the same browser and the same account. Decks don't sync between devices.
- Why does the AI say "Invalid API key"?
- Check that the provider selected in the AI panel matches your key, then test it again. If it has expired, create a new one with your provider.
- What does "Too many AI requests" mean?
- Free keys are limited to a few requests per minute. Wait 30 seconds and try again. AI illustrations require an Agnes or OpenAI key.
- Why won't the export download?
- Allow downloads for yok-kod.com in your browser, temporarily turn off any ad blocker, then try again.
